This BLOG allows the Families Like Ours community to know what we need help with. Postings may include help with fund raising projects, respite events, family fun events, and even activities outside Families Like Ours.
FLO is in need of an office intern or volunteer, approximately 10 – 15 hours a week, Monday's, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10AM – 3PM.
We're seeking someone that can help with database updates, content editing, light phone work, special projects and some case work. This is perfect for the stay at home parent that is looking to give-back, or the student intern that needs community service hours. The ideal person would be self motivated with a “can-do” attitude. This is currently an unpaid position.

Families Like Ours is a volunteer network of pre and post adoptive, foster families and professionals that have joined together to reach our mission of supporting pre and post adoptive youth and families. We cannot do this work without your help! For as little as one hour a month you can make all the difference. Hello everyone. As you all know FLO is a peer-to-peer volunteer based community nonprofit. To keep us moving forward FLO needs a steady, strong volunteer base or things just get stuck in the mud and go no where.
We're in need a strong committed volunteer (or several volunteers) to help develop our volunteer base and plan our quarterly family and
respite events. Currently this is unpaid position but we will be seeking funds in the future. You can work from the FLO office in Seattle, or from home. This isn't full time, just a few hours a week making phone calls and sending emails.
If you're currently between positions, nonprofit volunteering looks great on your resume as job experience.
