Call for Photo and Video Submissions

Have you seen the Families Like Ours Family Video?  It's a montage of several families we've worked with over the years and we have shared it many times in many settings. 

It's a great comprehensive look at the diversity of the parents and children who's lives have become enmeshed in a web of love and caring through fostering and adoption.  It's a great testament to the truth that love truly can conquer all. 

So here's the deal. We'd like to update our family video and need your content to do so.  If you have some clear photos of your family, send them to content@familieslikeours.org.   

If you would like to share other content such as your family's story, a short video hosted somewhere like youtube.com, related content from other sites, a relative anecdote, original artwork or ideas for future stories you like to see us produce, please send it to content@familieslikeours.org as well.

We look forward to learning more about your family!

Are you thinking about adoption or foster care? Are you unclear if this is right for you? Do you have questions or need to verify answers you have gotten and are not sure what the real answer is? Families Like Ours is your independent advocate regardless of which placement agency, or state program you're working through. We're here to help. We are families-helping-families. We provide a full range of pre and post adoptive and foster care family planning counseling* to help guide you through the process, answer your questions, and provide you with resources and support.

Let’s face it. Parenting isn’t easy. Actually it can be more than trying at times. Then you add in all the aspects of adoption and foster care and your head starts spinning! Not to worry, we’ve got you covered. As part of our support network we actively list workshops and educational programs on our community calendar, so that’s the first place you should start. For specific programs from Families Like Ours … Outside the Box Skills and Support, for Outside the Box Children and Families PROGRAM GOAL: Help you find and enhance the individual parenting styles that work best for you, and your children.
