I don’t understand, if you are not a placement agency, then what makes you different?

Because we are not a placement agency and our funding does not come from the placement agencies we are free to advocate on your behalf as an outside third party. We are you, adoptive families helping adoptive families. We provide you with ongoing support, resources and a network of other adoptive families; Families Like Ours is also there for you in cases of discrimination, conflicts with agencies and workers. In some cases we can even assist in placement matches. A child in the system is assigned a CASA or GAL to look out for their best interest, that’s us, only for you, the adoptive family. We are here to help look out for your best interest.
