Major FLO Site Update
So have you noticed all the changes? It isn't just the new, fresh and bright colors but new tools for families and professionals alike! Thank you all for your input, ideas and patience as we redesign everything. Make sure you check out the growing list of BLOGS, the Dr.'s Corner, Frugal Dad and soon the Family Financial BLOG. My personal favorite and very funny Parenting from the Trenches.
What else are we working on? Our two big pushes are the family and child profiles. For those of you that have an approved adoption home study, you can now add your Adoptive Family Profile. These profiles are available by RSS feed to child social workers, placement coordinators and recruiters. In addition monthly reminders are sent out to social workers about available adoptive families. Our waiting child profiles should be available and online in September. We already send out email alerts, but soon you'll be able to subscribe to a simple RSS feed which will bring you information about children that need forever adoptive families. Both of these tools have been in the works for more than a year, and now finally available to families and professionals.
If you're not already a FLO Face book Fan, check it now. Oh, and don't forget our Volunteer Alerts, we have some important events coming up that we need your help with.
It has been a lot of work but we hope we've brought in your ideas and you like it as much as we do.
