Washington State Adoption & Foster Care Agencies

Each of the following agencies have provided their information as written. They have all signed FLO's non-discrimination policies in compliance with Washington State non-discrimination statutes. These are all FLO recommended placement agencies specific to adoption and foster care.

FLO recommends that you review our Adoption 101, than interview each agency that has a focus that matches your specific goals. As a jumping off point, we've provided you suggested questions to ask a placement agency and lawyer. These are recommended questions that have come from your peer families, customize your questions to fit your specific family goals and needs.

If you need assistance in this process, FLO family support peer's are available.

FLO urges families to only use agencies that can provide services on behalf of children without discrimination towards families and children. While Families Like Ours, Inc agrees that every agency should be allowed to specialize, there is a difference between specialization and discrimination. Policies and attitudes that prolong a child’s wait for a loving and caring family only furthers the injury these children have suffered. Families Like Ours, Inc challenges agencies to treat children and families with respect, and fairness without discrimination. To provide factual adoption information without “selling” their service and maintain reasonable and acceptable rates for services provided.

Families Like Ours, Inc is not responsible for services, programs, fees, advice, placement or any other services provided by those resources on this list. Please contact us if you have any problems with discrimination or lack of follow up from any of the agencies on this list. This is a growing, changing resource list provided by FLO; if you know of an agencies or resource that should be included, please contact us. Please check back with us for changes and updates in this list.
